About this role

We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, youth, families, and adults who have needs for our services. We provide individuals with the assistance they need to move forward to work, studies, or receive help to develop through their own efforts. We care for our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden with a consolidated social services department. This means that both regulatory functions and treatment and support services exist within the same administration, which we consider to be a tremendous strength. We create value for our residents and contribute to a good and dignified life – for everyone, regardless of circumstances. We place great emphasis on early interventions and preventive work, offering professional and individually tailored support. We are a learning workplace – we improve each other through our quality work focused on those we serve. We are the Social and Care Administration – part of Hudiksvall Municipality. Your Workplace The authority office consists of regulatory functions regarding children and youth, the elderly, the adult unit, LSS (the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and authority services. In authority services, caseworkers and administrators work together. The adult unit and LSS form a workgroup divided into two teams, comprising ten staff members in the adult unit and nine staff members in LSS, who work with children and adults with functional impairments. Each team has a team leader. The workplace is located in central Hudiksvall, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Due to the implementation of a new social services act, the Social and Care Administration is currently undergoing an organizational change. The purpose of this change is to capitalize on the benefits of organizing more target group-oriented. The new organization will be in place by January 1, 2026. There will be no significant changes for the adult unit and LSS. Job Description We are now seeking a temporary staff member for our LSS team as one of our social workers will be taking parental leave. As a social worker, you will have regulatory responsibility, which involves investigating, making decisions, and following up on interventions. You will work in accordance with the applicable legislation, SoL (the Social Services Act) and LSS. The position requires good collaboration with other units within the administration and with external partners. With us, you will be part of a friendly and unpretentious culture where we help each other and make the most of each other’s knowledge, differences, and experiences. The work is often varied, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful. The unit’s employees are dedicated individuals driven by the desire to make a difference through their work. Here, you will receive close support from team leaders in your daily work, along with colleagues who always support one another and work together to improve our services. You will also have close access to managers and administrators. The introduction will be tailored to your needs and will provide you with all the tools necessary for your work. We employ ongoing case supervision. We have an annual working hours agreement, allowing you to influence some aspects of your working hours. Come and work with us! Do not wait to apply; recruitment will occur continuously during the advertisement period. Your Profile You hold a degree in social work or equivalent higher education. You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You take responsibility for your assignments, plan, structure, and move your cases forward. You work toward goals and focus on results. Furthermore, you contribute to the development of the work and maintain a holistic perspective. You work well with others and communicate clearly. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy cooperating with other professionals while keeping the individual in focus at all times. We continuously work to develop our services, and we seek a person who will be involved and contribute to this development and feel engaged in the change process. Personal suitability will be highly regarded. A driver’s license with driving experience is required.
