About this role

The position is located within the Integration and Labor Market Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. We enhance the opportunities for residents of Linköping who are dependent on financial assistance to become self-sufficient and independent. We also contribute to the skills supply for Linköping Municipality and the business community. Do you want to brighten everyday life and improve the quality of life for the residents of Linköping? With us, you can make a significant difference and help make Linköping a better place. Welcome to our team! **Your Responsibilities** We are currently seeking social workers specializing in financial assistance, which involves receiving and processing new applications for financial aid and ongoing assistance according to the Social Services Act, as well as investigating resources and barriers to self-sufficiency. You will work with clients who have short-term needs for financial assistance and clients with more long-term needs. Your tasks will include motivational work and coaching (MI) related to the investigative work to develop the client’s opportunities for self-sufficiency. You will also coordinate external contacts with other community organizations such as the Migration Agency, the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, within the administration and Linköping Municipality, as well as other collaboration partners. Working with us provides a broad insight into the welfare chain and a good understanding of how society functions as a whole. We offer the challenge of meeting people in various life situations and being able to contribute to changes in their lives. If you believe in individuals' ability to find motivation for self-sufficiency and want to help create better conditions for them, this is the right job for you. **Your Workplace** The mission of the Integration and Labor Market Administration is to strengthen the opportunities for Linköping residents in need of financial assistance to become self-sufficient and independent, as well as to contribute to the skills supply for Linköping Municipality and the business sector. In the administration, we work closely with residents, businesses, the non-profit sector, authorities, and other public actors. The administration comprises approximately 300 employees and operates within the scope of the Labor Market Committee. Within Employment and Support, there are the following units: • Reception • Integration (refugee reception, financial assistance, and labor market) • Complementary Measures • Employment and Support 1-3 (financial assistance) • Employment and Support 4-5 (labor market) The Integration Unit works with the target group of newly arrived individuals and is responsible for the reception of newcomers. We process incoming applications and notifications regarding financial support and measures related to integration through work, studies, sound financial management, and housing. We continuously develop our working methods and evaluate our practices. Within the unit, various professionals support each other in shortening the establishment period for newcomers. We have unit coordinators, integration assistants, social workers, and labor market consultants who collaborate daily to create better conditions in housing, financial, and labor market issues. Your workplace will be at Drottninggatan 45 in central Linköping. Working hours are scheduled from 7:50 AM to 5:00 PM, with shorter working days until 4:00 PM during the summer months. We apply a flexible working hours agreement. **Who You Are** We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral sciences. It is advantageous if you have taken courses in social work, social law, or administrative law, and have prior experience in processing financial assistance within social services. We prefer candidates with previous experience working with the newly arrived target group and experience in a reception function. It is also beneficial if you have worked with individuals in need of support and have experience in labor market issues. The job requires you to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and we would like you to be multilingual as the work involves many social contacts. Our working methods are partially digitized and involve contact with authorities and documentation, so prior knowledge of the operational system Lifecare is advantageous. You are well-structured, effectively plan and prioritize your work, and ensure that deadlines are met. In stressful situations, you remain calm and stable, with the ability to set clear boundaries when necessary. With high personal maturity and self-awareness, you manage relationships in a professional and balanced manner, adapting your behavior to the situation. You make quick decisions, act decisively, and thrive in collaborations where you communicate attentively and constructively. It is also positive if you are curious and not afraid to experiment in your work. We see this as part of individual development and an opportunity for the unit to continuously improve its work. We look forward to receiving your application! **Additional Information** When applying for a position in Linköping Municipality, you will register your application by logging in via e-identification (such as BankID or FrejaID) instead of using an email address.
