The Authority Unit for Care and Support is part of the Social Administration and is responsible for the municipality's efforts for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Today, the unit consists of 8 social workers, 1 family coordinator, 1 volunteer coordinator, and 1 unit manager. We are now looking for someone who wants to work with the processing of services aimed at individuals with disabilities. JOB DESCRIPTION The role of a social worker is multifaceted, and you will meet all kinds of people in their unique situations. The primary mission of the social worker is to engage in authority exercises, investigate, assess, make decisions, and follow up according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The work includes providing guidance to individuals and their families, as well as collaborating closely with internal operations, authorities, and external actors to create secure and appropriate support measures. Our current documentation system is Combine, and we communicate with the region via Cosmic Link. Social workers work with needs assessments according to IBIC, focusing on the individual's needs. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education that we deem comparable. You have previous experience in authority exercises and a good understanding of applicable legislation and the mission of social services. Since home visits are part of the job, a valid driver's license (category B) is required, as our clients live throughout the entire geographical area of the municipality. You have the ability to take initiative and are driven in your work process, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your tasks. You adapt easily when conditions and plans change in your work. Furthermore, you work towards a good working environment together with your colleagues. As the work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you should have good collaboration skills and be outgoing. You should also have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
