Lidingö City is investing in the social services work with children and youth. We are conducting a development effort to provide even better conditions for creating a modern, preventive, and accessible social service. As part of this, we have consolidated all authority and open care regarding children and youth (0-20 years) into a dedicated area.
The Children, Youth, and Family Area consists of three units:
• Intake and Family Support Unit
• Child, Youth, and Family Investigation Unit
• Foster Care and Intervention Unit
We are now seeking a social worker for the Child, Youth, and Family Investigation Unit, following a colleague who is leaving us for new challenges after a long time with us.
The Children, Youth, and Family Area belongs to the Care and Social Administration, which is one of our six departments in Lidingö City. We have approximately 800 employees working to support our residents at all stages of life. We work with individual and family care, social psychiatry, disability services, and elderly care. We always put the individual's needs at the center!
WORK TASKS
Your main tasks will include investigating children and youth's needs for protection, support, and care. You will collaborate closely with the Intake and Family Support Unit and the Foster Care and Intervention Unit. The work requires internal collaboration with other units and departments, as well as external collaboration with the aim of offering coordinated support to Lidingö residents.
Our unit works with BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus), draws inspiration from Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a cornerstone of our approach. When needed, we offer basic training in these methods and approaches for new employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a social worker with preferably previous experience in child and youth authority work. You should be articulate in both speech and writing. Knowledge of BBIC and Signs of Safety is meritorious.
As a person, you find social work important and enjoyable. You take initiative, drive your work forward, and have genuine commitment to creating change. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented and confident in your role.

The city applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously, and probationary employment may be applied.
