About this role

In Tranemo Municipality, you are welcome. Here, we strive for a strong sense of belonging and encourage you as an employee to have influence and participation in the development of our operations. We start from a clear sustainability perspective where we as an employer focus on good working conditions, good leadership, and are guided by a clear value base: Our operations should be accessible to everyone, everyone should be treated in a positive and professional manner, we deliver services with good service and high quality, and everyone we meet should feel that they are being listened to. We live in a changing time and are therefore seeking competent and committed employees who want to help build the future of Tranemo. Tranemo Municipality – Proximity to each other builds relationships for the future. The position is part of the Care Section's authority function, where all official social services in the municipality are centralized. The operation encompasses units for Adults, Children & Youth, Family Group, Economic Assistance, Disability Services, and Elderly Care. Case workers work together with unit managers, chief social workers, chief case managers, business developers, and social assistants. The small municipality offers many advantages, such as broad expertise, close collaboration, and opportunities for development. Proximity to other municipal operations facilitates cooperation and sustainable solutions, especially for children and youth. The authority function is developing, with a focus on preventive work and increased accessibility. For example, case workers participate in a School Social Team for early support to children at risk, and the Family Group offers collaboration discussions with short waiting times. The STARTA project targets individuals with mental health issues, dependency problems, and youth who have not completed high school. The Family Center offers support without a welfare decision. The workplace is characterized by collaboration and well-being, with helpfulness between units and a shared work environment. An experienced case worker recently stated: "This is the best workplace I have ever had." JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The position is an expansion due to an emerging need for handling family legal matters, but the role will also, as it currently appears, include managing placements and contact family interventions for children and youth. In the family legal section, job tasks involve working with the existing family legal secretary to handle and process assignments from district court in family legal matters. Custody-residence and visitation investigations (VBU), information, and paternity investigations are part of the tasks that the family legal secretary is responsible for. The position will be under the authority's Individual and Family Care (IFO) section, in the Children & Youth (BoU) group. If there is interest and/or desire to work with investigations or other cases targeting children and youth, this will not be an obstacle. There is great flexibility in the work group where we try to utilize each employee's experience, knowledge, and wishes, and we will jointly agree on the content of the position. Job tasks will be varied as we help each other in different ways, even across unit boundaries. There is also a common reception function primarily staffed by two case workers from the BoU and Adult groups, which we sometimes need to help staff. In case management regarding children and youth, there is considerable collaboration with both the adult and family groups. In case management, one gains a better overall picture and access to broader knowledge that can be of great advantage to the child/youth and their network. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: • You have a social work degree or other university education in social work that can be deemed equivalent. If basic BBiC (Children's Needs in the Center) training is lacking, the employer will provide this through the Gothenburg Region's "Professional Journey". • At least a B driver's license We want you to: • Have good collaboration skills and commitment • Have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing • Have the ability to work independently • Have an interest and ability to meet people in difficult situations • Be open and attentive • Want to be part of a wonderful workplace with great trust in individuals' own abilities Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Meritorious if there is experience of official authority based on relevant legislation (Social Services Act, Youth Care Act, and Parental Code) and preferably by having worked with the target group or other areas within Individual and Family Care. As an employee with us, you will receive: • Helpful, committed, and inspiring colleagues • Support from chief social worker, unit manager, and business developer • Mentorship • Case supervision • External supervision • Skills development • Participation in development work for the authority function • Opportunity to work from home • Free admission to swimming pools in both Tranemo and Svenljunga
