The individual and family care sector focuses on providing good service and support to our citizens, as well as being responsible for authority functions. The Adult Unit handles applications for financial assistance, addiction treatment, domestic violence, and LSS case management. The Children and Youth Unit deals with family law, foster care, support and treatment, and family centers. Work is conducted both on an individual basis and at the group level. We have a special responsibility for vulnerable groups.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The individual and family care sector is now looking to recruit a social worker with a focus on children and youth. The role involves the usual tasks of a social worker in the children and youth group. You will investigate and follow up on cases according to SoL and LVU, for the age group 0-20 years. The work is conducted with the children/youth and their parents, their networks, and in collaboration with other professionals who have the same target group, with the aim of promoting the development of children and youth. Daily work is led and distributed by a unit manager. Resources for support and treatment are available on-site. The operation is located in newly renovated and pleasant premises close to the train station in central Charlottenberg. QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in social work is required for the position. Experience with BBiC and knowledge and experience working with children and youth in vulnerable life situations is an advantage.
Personal suitability is of great importance.
You need to have a B driver's license.
You should be comfortable with the authority role and well-versed in current legislation. You possess a professional demeanor, are meticulous, and have a willingness to meet people in difficult situations. You have good collaboration skills, are outgoing and engaged, can express yourself easily in both spoken and written communication, are flexible, and can vary your tasks according to the needs of the operation and unit.
As a person, you are confident in yourself and your profession. You find it easy to build relationships, create trust, and are persistent and curious about people's differences. You should also have an interest in working in a learning organization.
