Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work encompasses elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care. Ystad Municipality is part of Backa Barnet in collaboration with Region Skåne and the National Police. Backa Barnet is a joint model to ensure children's rights, to promptly address children's needs, and to provide coordinated support. As a social worker, you will be involved in the work with Backa Barnet. WE ARE GROWING! We are expanding our reception services and are therefore looking for a social worker in the reception and a social worker for investigations. The Child and Family Unit is one of seven units within IFO, and currently, a total of 17 people work in the unit, including one unit manager, one senior social worker, two social workers in the reception, 12 investigating social workers, and one administrative assistant. JOB DESCRIPTION At the Child and Family Unit, we work from a systems-theoretical perspective with a developed child perspective and use BBIC as our case management and documentation tool. We have Lifecare as our operational system. Social Worker in Reception: As a social worker in the reception, your main task will be to, together with two other colleagues, receive incoming reports of concern and applications for assistance (ages 0-18). In the reception, you will conduct preliminary assessments and make decisions/proposals regarding whether to initiate an investigation or not. The role includes providing telephone advice to our partners and services to our citizens. It also involves preparing and submitting statements to, among others, the police and prosecution authority. Furthermore, as a social worker in the reception, you will visit various activities to inform about the duty to report and the work of social services. In many respects, you will be the "face of social services." Social Worker for Investigations: As a social worker, your main task will be case management according to SoL and LVU, focusing on children and youth aged 0-18, their families, and networks. You will investigate and assess the resources and needs for assistance of children and families, as well as decide on and follow up on various interventions at home. Placed children will be followed up by another unit. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Previous experience in public authority work concerning children and youth is an advantage. You should have good knowledge of child development and a strong commitment to children at risk. You also see the child's network as an important resource in the change process. As a social worker in the reception, you will represent social services to citizens, clients, and partners. Therefore, you need to have a good understanding of social services' authority functions and interventions, as well as excellent service skills. As a social worker, you need to be secure and stable, with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you must be able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work.
