About the workplace
The Labor Market Department is responsible for the administration of social assistance and financial aid, coordination of all labor market initiatives that the municipality is involved in, and coordination of the municipality's establishment of newly arrived individuals.
A clear goal for the department is the employment line, to reduce the number of individuals receiving social assistance so that more can achieve self-sufficiency. In our department, we have a successful and close collaboration between social workers and labor market consultants, as well as a Job Center with other actors such as the Public Employment Service and Adult Education, which together enable individuals to become self-sufficient.
Job responsibilities
- Investigate the right to social assistance and financial aid
- Engage with individuals and support them on their path to self-sufficiency
- Document and follow up on established plans
- Collaborate internally and externally
- Provide advice and social support to individuals
- Actively contribute to your own, the workgroup's, and the department's development
Who are we looking for
- You have a knack for building relationships and a motivating approach to help individuals achieve self-sufficiency
- You are proactive in collaboration and have a solution-focused mindset to achieve the best results for the individual
- You are self-driven and demonstrate this by setting realistic expectations for the individual
- You are structured and meticulous, as shown by your clear and timely documentation, effective organization and prioritization of work, and follow-up on the individual's planning
- You are persistent, stable, and have high moral standards, which you demonstrate when making decisions for individuals.

Qualifications
You are a social worker or have an equivalent bachelor's degree from a university.
You have good knowledge of laws and regulations in the field.
You are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
You are accustomed to working in IT environments.
You are experienced in documentation and investigation.
Experience as a social worker handling social assistance in the recent past is an advantage.
