Tunaskolan F-9, located in the Tuna area between Mjölkudden and Notviken, has one of Luleå's larger catchment areas. Starting from the autumn term of 2025, the school will have approximately 580 primary school students, about 170 of whom also attend our after-school program. Tunaskolan also hosts an adapted primary school with around 120 students, allowing for collaboration within our school. The school is self-sufficient in terms of facilities, which means we do not need to travel to other schools for practical and aesthetic subjects. The school has been completely renovated over the past few years, ensuring that classrooms and furnishings are of high standard.
In the area, we have good contacts with other organizations such as Notvikens IK, the Church, and the Tenants' Association. The school can also utilize the entire sports facility of Notvikens IK, which is connected to the school area via a tunnel under Mjölkuddsvägen. Additionally, there is proximity to Coop Norrbotten Arena during the winter months. Tunaskolan's central location makes it easy for students to access events held in the city center or on the university campus, which is also well managed by our skilled educators. Despite its central location, Tunaskolan is close to nature and water, providing great opportunities for varied teaching. We, the staff, also care for one another. We place great importance on social aspects and genuinely want you to feel like part of the team. We hope you want to be a part of it too!
Job Responsibilities
As a social pedagogue, you will work proactively, preventively, and remedially to promote students' attendance, well-being, health, and happiness. The work may also involve collaboration with other authorities and aims to develop successful collaborative methods and structures for effective social preventive work, where the school and external actors work together with the student's best interests in focus.
As a social pedagogue, you are an important player in our safety team, which consists of a social pedagogue, school counselor, and teachers. You will also be part of the student health team alongside special educators, the principal, school nurse, career counselor, and school counselor. In addition to these, you will of course also collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff, all to make Tunaskolan a safe place for everyone.
Qualifications
You are an educated social pedagogue, social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with children and adolescents is an advantage.
Since the role of social pedagogue involves a lot of contact and collaboration with other people, it is essential that you are skilled at building and maintaining relationships and that you have good teamwork abilities. You are a trustworthy person who instills confidence, understands where boundaries lie, dares to stand up for your opinions, has the courage to speak out, and can differentiate between issues and individuals.
