About the role As Social Director, you will have overall responsibility for the budget, personnel, and work environment within the department. You will coordinate the broad mandate, lead the strategic work, and ensure that goal management is met in line with the municipality's overarching goals and values. You will have the overall responsibility for leading and developing the department together with your managers and employees. The role also includes being part of the municipality's management team alongside the municipal chief and other department heads. Your main responsibilities: • Lead and develop the social services department with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability. • Be responsible for strategic work and goal management in a politically governed organization. • Ensure a good work environment and engaged leadership throughout the organization. • Actively participate in the municipality's management team and contribute to a holistic perspective and collaboration. We are looking for someone who has: • An academic degree in a relevant field • Several years of leadership experience, preferably as a manager of managers • Knowledge in one of the areas of social services • Experience in management team work and collaboration both internally and externally • Experience with budget responsibility and understanding of the budget process • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing • A valid driver's license (Category B) Personal qualities We are looking for a clear and structured leader who values order and organization.
