About this role
Are you ready to work in a socially critical organization? Do you want to be part of a high-performing team? We are now seeking two small animal veterinarians for our clinic on Gotland.
To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the opportunity to live the best possible life, there are the District Veterinarians. With 24/7 readiness, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer essential services for emergency animal care, disease prevention, and proactive measures for good animal health. Always down-to-earth and with our hearts in the right place. District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Agricultural Agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone attracted to working with small animals in a well-functioning clinical environment. Our small animal operations are characterized by broad scope, continuity, collaboration, high collective expertise, development potential, and a positive atmosphere.
This position is ideal for those with several years of professional experience who enjoy mixing urgent and scheduled appointments with on-call work. Alternatively, you are a recent graduate wanting to develop expertise in small animal veterinary medicine.
Our daily work blends event-driven and planned activities. We work in teams focused on large animals/horses or small animals, during both daytime and on-call hours. Therefore, two veterinarians are always on call simultaneously.
As a relatively large veterinary group, we have the advantage of managing workloads and recovery through smart scheduling, ensuring we meet annual work hour requirements. We continuously work on skills development, and your professional growth is our best investment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek a licensed veterinarian or veterinarian-in-training. Previous experience as a small animal veterinarian with on-call responsibilities is meritorious. To thrive with us, you should enjoy teamwork, be solution-oriented, and possess strong collaborative skills.
A B driver's license is required.
