About Velanda School
Velanda School is a F–6 school located in nature-friendly surroundings in the municipality of Trollhättan.
Our operations are characterized by safety, participation, and a strong student focus. We actively work to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities.
The school is currently in an exciting development phase, with a new school building under construction for the 2026 academic year.
About the Position
We are looking for someone who is passionate about crafts and wants to inspire our students to joy in creation, curiosity, and learning. As a craft teacher at Velanda School, you will teach both wood and metal crafts as well as textile crafts for students in grades 3–6. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing instruction in accordance with the curriculum.
Construction is currently underway for a completely new and modern school building in Velanda, which is expected to be completed by the start of the 2026 academic year.
You will work closely with other staff in a safe and committed team where collaboration and the best interests of the students are always at the center.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability and the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
The position is primarily based at Velanda School, but part of the role may be assigned to another primary school within Trollhättan municipality, depending on the needs of the operations.
Qualifications
You are a licensed teacher with qualifications in the subject of crafts. You are structured, clear, and confident in your teaching role. You have a creative mindset and a good ability to adapt instruction according to students' needs. An interest in school development and working long-term in a new school environment is a plus.
