District Heating is a business area within Skövde Energi where we produce district heating, electricity, and cooling in Skövde municipality. Our largest production facilities are located at Värmekällan, Energivägen, and Lövängverket. We also have smaller facilities within and outside the urban area.
Job Responsibilities
As a District Heating Engineer with us at District Heating, you will be a crucial link between technology, sustainability work, and business strategy. You will be responsible for analyzing system data, driving development projects, and documenting technical and economic decisions. Your work directly contributes to our journey towards a more sustainable and competitive energy system.
• Lead and participate in projects related to network optimization, digitalization, energy storage, and fossil-free transformation.
• Lead and participate in the development of our services.
• Investigate and optimize customer centers and lead the implementation of new ones that contribute to social benefits.
• Optimize flow in the distribution system.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, distribution, and external parties.
• Follow up on key performance indicators and contribute to reporting according to environmental and sustainability goals.
• Ensure data quality.
• Report statistics to authorities.
• Monitor technology trends, regulations, and business models in district heating and energy systems.
Qualifications
Requirements
• Civil or Bachelor's degree in energy, mechanical engineering, sustainable energy systems, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in the energy industry, preferably in district heating.
• Experience in technical analysis, project management, and/or business development.
• Proficiency in technical documentation, data analysis, and decision-making support.
• Strong IT skills, preferably in GIS, Excel, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
