About the Role

In the central student health team, psychologists, speech therapists, counselors, special educators, school doctors, and school nurses work together. We form a team that operates preventively and health-promoting in the municipality's schools and preschools.

We are seeking a school nurse for Park School and Billeshög School in Svalöv Municipality. Your responsibilities will include standard school nursing duties.

Responsibilities

• Promote a good physical, mental, and social working environment for students in close collaboration with the school
• Conduct health education both individually and in groups
• Offer health talks and health examinations
• Identify and support students in need of special support
• Independently assess and prescribe vaccinations according to the national vaccination program
• Hold regular open consultations with advice and medical assessments
• Actively participate in quality development

You will be part of the central student health team and participate in our joint meetings. School nurses and school doctors have regular peer meetings. As a school nurse, you will also be part of the school's Student Health Team (EHT) and be responsible for the medical interventions, in accordance with the guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare for school nurses.

The work requires close collaboration with, among others, the municipality's school nurses, school leadership, the school's counselor, and school doctor.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse.
• We prefer that you have experience as a school nurse or with working with children and adolescents.
• We place great importance on your personal qualities. You are collaborative and take initiative.
• We document electronically in a data journal (ProReNata), which is why good computer skills are required.
• We are looking for someone with strong collaborative abilities and experience working in a multidisciplinary team, as well as the capability to work independently.
• We expect you to have good organizational and structuring skills.
