Your Workplace The Medical Unit of Student Health Services in Härryda Municipality includes 2 school physicians and 14 school nurses working in the municipality's primary schools, as well as 4 school nurses and one school physician working at the high school level. The unit is led by the Head of Healthcare Services, who is also the Head of Student Health Services. The unit is part of the Education, Culture, and Leisure Sector. This sector is responsible for preschool, after-school programs, primary school, high school, and adapted primary school. Your workplace/location will be at Djupedalskolan (grades 4-9) in Mölnlycke You will work to ensure that all children, young people, and guardians in Härryda Municipality feel satisfied and secure in school. Your Mission As a school nurse, your mission includes implementing the Student Health Services health program, which involves working independently with health screenings, health consultations, and vaccinations. Together with the principal and other members of the school's student health team, you will work for the best interest of each student. You will also be an important resource in the overall development work of Student Health Services. You will be part of a professional group of school nurse colleagues aimed at promoting the quality of health-promoting and preventive work through collegial learning, reflection, and professional development. These meetings are crucial for school nurses to work evidence-based, follow guidelines, and stay updated in their professional field. The group meets every two weeks. Job Requirements We are seeking a registered nurse with specialized training as a school nurse or in community healthcare or healthcare for children and youth. Equivalent education will also be considered. Previous experience as a school nurse is meritorious. Most importantly, you are interested in working with children and youth and want to help them have a positive school experience. A driver's license is required. To be hired, you must provide a criminal record extract from the Police. Personal Qualities As a person, you need to be confident, stable, responsible, flexible, and independent. You should be easy to collaborate with and able to structure your work effectively. Interest in quality and operational development is a clear advantage, as is the ability to think holistically.
