School Nurse

Description As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in child and student health care and school development in Vänersborg Municipality. You will be part of a student health team, working closely with students, educators, and school management. You will work in a promotional and preventive manner to create a good environment for students' health, learning, and development. The work is varied and will involve many important contacts with both internal and external actors. You will belong to the child and student health department and will report to the Child and Student Health Chief. Work Tasks In the student health team, you will be responsible for medical interventions, based on the basic program for medical student health services and in accordance with the established management system. Your tasks are health-promoting and preventive through health dialogues, vaccinations, and health examinations, as well as contributing together with your colleagues to create conditions for students' learning, development, and health. Qualifications We are seeking a licensed nurse with a specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. You have knowledge of current governing documents and applicable legislation in the field, and previous experience working as a school nurse is meritorious. In addition to formal competence, we place great importance on personal suitability. Conditions B driver's license A valid criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
