**JOB DESCRIPTION**
In your role as a school doctor in Höör Municipality, your primary task is to work preventively and health-promoting in collaboration with the school nurse, as well as to address various issues at different levels. The work is conducted at the individual, group, and organizational levels to promote and eliminate barriers to each student's health, development, and learning. The overall goal of the work is to contribute to and create a good learning environment for students' learning, health, and development.
Your duties will include the usual responsibilities of a school doctor, such as conducting medical assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school. You will also contribute your expertise to the development of the organization through supervision or training, designing routines, and providing consultation. The work also involves collaborating with the medically responsible school nurse to address deviations, development, and quality assurance.
If needed, you will assist the student health teams in schools. This may involve participating in student health meetings with school staff or guardians, or supporting and informing the organization about health conditions and preventive health factors in various ways. You may also have contact and collaboration with external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), primary care, inpatient care, and social services.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
You are a licensed physician with specialized training in pediatric and adolescent medicine, general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, and/or school health care.
You also have knowledge of the legislation governing the school’s work as well as the parts of the Health and Medical Services Act that regulate the medical efforts of student health.
You are collaborative, adaptable, and enjoy working within interdisciplinary teams where your attentiveness fosters trust. You find it easy to meet and build relationships with others. As a person, you are structured, engaged, and take independent responsibility for your work.
It is an advantage if you have prior experience in the medical efforts of student health and experience with the Prorenata journal system.
