The Department of Children and Education operates on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary School Committee. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary schools, and adapted primary schools. The Segeltorp School District comprises three schools - Långsjöskolan and Skansbergskolan, serving grades F-3, and Segeltorpsskolan, serving grades 4-9. Job Description
We are seeking someone who wants to contribute to strengthening our work in the unified student health team. Our preventive and promoting efforts for all students' health, well-being, and development occur in close collaboration with staff, students, and guardians. You will be part of the school's student health team, where you will provide psychosocial expertise and collaborate closely with working teams at the school. You will work both independently and as part of a group with the student health team and other educational personnel. When needed, you will consult and guide educators on issues concerning students' social situations. As a school counselor, you can help create favorable conditions for students' development and learning, which requires you to be well-informed about the school's operations. Much of your time will be spent in one-on-one conversations with students.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are qualified social workers or have an education deemed equivalent by the employer.
For this position, you will need to present a valid extract from the criminal record before employment can begin.
Profile
As a counselor, it is important to be calm, secure, and stable while contributing to a positive school environment. You have a strong ability to collaborate with others, as the role requires interaction with school nurses, special educators, teachers, etc. Furthermore, you possess a strong drive, take responsibility for your tasks, and can independently structure your processes, developing a clear plan and prioritizing effectively. It is also crucial that you have a good empathetic ability and can create and maintain relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
