Job Description Rinkebyskolan is a 7-9 school with approximately 270 students, including one of Stockholm's largest adapted primary schools with around 40 students. We are seeking a school counselor to join the school's student health team. Based on your professional expertise, you will propose appropriate measures, strategies, and tools that contribute to the organization's increased goal fulfillment. You will work closely with other school staff and in contact with external actors, such as Family House, social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Habilitation, etc. Your Role and Function at the School You will work closely with students and focus on relationship-building within the school's core operations. This involves being visible and accessible in the school environment and actively working to build trusting relationships with students and staff. To be part of the school's overall student health work, good communication and collaboration skills are required. In daily operational work, you will visit our students in classrooms and other activities related to the school's mission. You should work proactively and preventively on value-based work and health-promoting issues. Other Work Tasks within the Assignment: - Be part of the school's social team (SST) that specifically works to prevent and coordinate interventions related to student absenteeism. - As part of the school's safety team, work on harassment cases and initiatives to prevent and promote a safer school environment for students across all school forms. - Author social assessments requested for students in adapted primary school, inform guardians about interventions within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Qualifications For the school counselor position, we are seeking someone with a social work degree. Experience working in schools and social services, as well as previous experience in a multicultural context, is meritorious. You have the ability to recognize students' diverse needs, take into account their individual circumstances, and adapt support based on their experiences. You choose to see opportunities and can easily adjust and adapt to the organization's needs. You are stable, confident in your profession, and maintain a realistic perspective in situations while focusing on the right support. Through your open attitude and inclusive approach, you always provide a good reception in your dialogue with students, other colleagues, and parents you encounter.
