As a school librarian, you contribute to students' goal achievement based on current legislation and curriculum, with a focus on Swedish language and language development. You also lead and participate in pedagogical activities in the library and in the classroom. Furthermore, you complement teachers' subject knowledge and subject didactic competence by applying your expertise in reading, language development, information searching, and source criticism. The assignment includes: • Acquisition, weeding, media planning, and classification work • Strengthening students' linguistic abilities and digital competence • Participation and driving of reading promotion projects • Teaching information searching, information management, and source criticism • Continued education and guidance for school management and pedagogical staff • Organization of cultural activities • Work with digital and traditional reading comprehension • Teaching media and information literacy (MIK) Qualifications You who apply should have a college degree in library science (180 credits) or a bachelor's degree (180 credits), of which at least 90 credits in the main subject of library and information science. You also have: • Good experience working with school governing documents • Knowledge of pedagogy and learning • Digital competence • Knowledge of media and information literacy • Knowledge of and experience working with compensatory tools Experience working as a librarian, especially as a school librarian, is meritorious.
