School Librarian Position As a school librarian at Södervärnskolan, you will work closely with teaching staff. You will lead work in collaboration with teachers and implement reading promotion initiatives. The role also includes a coordinating library assignment for all schools in the Visby Söder catchment area. Job Responsibilities: - Work across multiple schools in Southern Visby (Södervärnskolan, Terra Novaskolan, Gråboskolan, Västerhejdeskolan, Lyckåkerskolan, and Eskelhemskola) - Strengthen quality and equality in school library services - Participate in service design development - Conduct book talks and reading promotion activities - Manage book collections and library system (Koha) - Handle and plan book purchases - Maintain attractive and current school libraries - Work according to the school's core values Qualifications: - Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent - Experience as a school librarian preferred - Strong knowledge of children's and youth literature - Ability to build relationships with children and youth - Curious, positive, and welcoming personality - Flexible and comfortable working with various group sizes - Structured and methodical approach - Service-oriented with good planning skills - Inclusive and positive communication style About Region Gotland: Region Gotland is Gotland's largest employer, uniquely combining municipal, healthcare, and regional development responsibilities.
