About this role
Sigtuna Municipality is a place of great diversity. Here, you will find vibrant countryside, a small town, and an international airport. A rich cultural heritage and cultural diversity. A proud history and ambitious future plans. Perhaps this is why there is such a strong drive to grow, change, and develop. This is also what makes it exciting to work here. With us, you will be part of a friendly and unpretentious culture where we support each other and make the most of each other's knowledge, differences, and experiences. The work is often varied, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful. Welcome!
The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, leisure centers, high schools, and adult education.
In Sigtuna Municipality, school libraries are important. As a school librarian in Sigtuna Municipality, you are never alone but are part of a school library community, and at the municipal level, there is a development leader for school libraries. The work is based on a common school library plan that will soon be available in a revised version covering from preschool to adult education. Local efforts are enriched by central resources such as the Circulating Library and the Multilingual Library. Collaboration is created through collegial exchange and learning within the school librarian group and through municipality-wide activities such as Sigtuna Municipality's annual poetry competition and our school library calendar. The school librarians have started a shared blog this fall, "Skolbiblioteksbloggen!" (School Library Blog).
Are you an engaged school librarian passionate about reading and learning? We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of our efforts to develop the school library as a central learning resource at Sätunaskolan and Norrbackaskolan.
The position is full-time, divided between two schools in central Märsta.
The schools are led by the same principal and vice principals and are within comfortable walking distance of each other and Märsta Station. Both schools are F-6 schools with approximately 350 students each.
Here, you will meet knowledgeable and dedicated staff who, together with the school management, are engaged in a purposeful quality work. For several years, we have focused on language and knowledge-developing methods in all subjects, where the school library plays an important role in students' learning and development.
We are now looking for someone who wants to further develop this work in a stimulating environment where reading, curiosity, and collaboration are central.

You are expected to meet the diverse needs of students, collaborate with the various professional groups in the school, and constantly strive to improve the operations within the framework of the school's systematic quality work.
