We are now seeking a School Assistant at Lejonströmsskolan! YOUR ROLE In this role, you will follow preschool students throughout the school day and provide support based on students' needs related to neuropsychological functional variations and other challenges. You will create structure and continuity, provide a sense of calm in daily life, and help students find strategies to develop both socially and academically. After school hours, you will work in the after-school program, where you will collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a safe and meaningful environment for the entire group of children. As a school assistant, you are a crucial part of students' everyday life. By supporting pedagogical work, both in the classroom and in other situations, you help create conditions for learning and community. YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE We are seeking someone with high school education or equivalent experience that makes you suitable for the assignment. You have previously worked with children and youth in school environments and have experience meeting students with diverse needs and conditions. To thrive in the role, you need to be confident, creative, and solution-oriented, with the ability to build good relationships and collaborate closely with both students and colleagues. You are accustomed to using digital technology as a work tool and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of sign language, Finnish, or other languages beyond Scandinavian languages is considered an additional asset. Familiarity with the curriculum and school governing documents is meritorious. Working in a school environment also requires a valid criminal record extract – the students' safety is always our focus.
