**Description**
The Eye Clinic is a continuously growing unit, and we are now seeking new employees to meet our increasing patient flow.
With us, you will enjoy a pleasant working environment with excellent camaraderie and good opportunities for development and training. The clinic works preventively but is also responsible for the care of patients with acute and chronic eye diseases. Our outpatient clinics also perform minor outpatient surgeries and treatments where advanced medical-technical equipment is often used. Various professional categories work closely together within the unit, including ophthalmic nurses, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmologists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Our goal is to recruit one employee for Lidköping and one for Skövde, so please indicate in your application which location you wish to apply for.
**Responsibilities**
We can offer an exciting and varied role with significant patient contact. In our clinic, you will work within different medical teams, such as those focusing on macular changes, glaucoma, or acute care. As an optometrist/ophthalmic nurse/nurse, you will conduct preparatory examinations before doctor appointments and have your own clinic. In your daily tasks, you will perform measurements and examinations for investigative purposes, such as visual acuity tests, visual field examinations, biometry, and photography. You will also be involved in the development and improvement efforts of the operation.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for a licensed optometrist, ophthalmic nurse, or general nurse. You should have a strong ability to work independently and contribute your knowledge to the team surrounding the patient. After training, you are expected to make your own decisions, have good collaboration skills, and be flexible as you will both have your own clinic and work variably in a team. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Previous experience working in an eye clinic or a similar outpatient setting is an advantage.
