About this role
At the psychiatric clinic in Sandviken, psychologists, nurses, caregivers, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, social workers, doctors, and medical secretaries work together, comprising a team of around 40 employees. The clinic provides specialist-level services for all psychiatric conditions, including affective disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and ADHD. The psychiatric clinic in Sandviken serves three municipalities: Sandviken, Hofors, and Ockelbo, covering approximately 55,000 residents.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The work primarily involves collaboration with other stakeholders such as inpatient care, the Social Insurance Agency, municipalities, and primary care to create the best conditions for quality patient care. Collaboration with relatives is also a central part of the role. Work takes place at the clinic and through home visits as needed.
As part of the role, you may hold appreciated information sessions for groups of patients and relatives, known as psychoeducational interventions (PPI), which the clinic offers targeted at various psychiatric groups. The relatively large size of the clinic provides opportunities to tailor tasks based on specific skills and experiences.
As a caregiver/nursing assistant with us, you will work with:
- Mapping, supportive, and suicide prevention conversations
- Initial visits and relative screenings during psychiatric assessments
- Drug screening
- Medication follow-ups in consultation with doctors and nurses
- Telephone advice.

In the role of caregiver/nursing assistant, you should:
- Be a trained nursing assistant
- Have a genuine interest in working with individuals with mental health issues.
For this position, experience in psychiatric outpatient care and/or round-the-clock care is an advantage.
