The General Psychiatric Clinic in Karlskoga is a specialist unit within the Health and Medical Services Administration that offers specialized care for mental illness. The catchment area is western Örebro County. Our mission is to assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals referred to our unit via referral or who seek help and support on their own through a self-referral.
We are a well-functioning unit with just over 30 employees. Treatment and psychoeducational interventions are conducted both individually and in groups, as well as through digital consultations. Continuous development of methods, processes, and working practices is an integral part of our operations, as is the supervision of students and new colleagues.

Job Responsibilities
You will work both independently and as part of a team alongside other professionals in nursing and treatment work. You will provide support and advice and participate in the rehabilitation of patients. The work involves a significant amount of supporting and motivating patients in their efforts to manage their daily lives and move towards a more independent life. You can identify and actively prevent health risks and, when necessary, motivate changes in lifestyle habits to promote, prevent, or restore health. Examples of tasks include various types of conversations, planning patient care, collaborating with other stakeholders around the patient, assisting with medication follow-up, conducting certain tests, and managing cases in 1177. Family members and other partners are important to us in providing the best possible conditions for the patient during their care and prior to discharge.

Qualifications
We welcome applicants who are trained caregivers/nursing assistants, preferably with a focus on psychiatry according to previous program structures, or are trained nursing assistants within the current program structure. You may also have completed caregiver training as a YH education. To assess employability, transcripts from your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title must be attached to your application. Experience in psychiatry is an advantage, and personal suitability is of great importance. A driver's license is a requirement.
