The Adult Psychiatry Department in Dalarna is a consolidated specialist service and belongs to the Psychiatry Division within Healthcare. It aims to provide psychiatric specialist care to the adult population in the municipalities of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. Our mission is to assess, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate patients with severe psychiatric conditions. We aim to view the individual from a holistic perspective and assist patients in finding their own resources to enhance well-being and improve their quality of life. The clinic has a broad specialist psychiatric competence with various professional groups working collaboratively. There is established cooperation with psychiatric inpatient care, municipalities, other healthcare providers, and other community stakeholders.
The Psychiatry Clinic in Ludvika is located at Ludvika Hospital in new facilities that provide a pleasant and calm environment. You will join a workplace with a positive atmosphere, an open climate, and good collegial collaboration. The clinic consists of approximately 40 employees, including nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and managers. The patient groups we encounter have various psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, neuropsychiatric disabilities, PTSD, as well as more severe anxiety and depression disorders.
As a new employee, you will receive an introduction that covers our entire operation. We believe that professional development is important and offer recurring lectures on various psychiatric conditions as well as basic training within the Division. Opportunities for both professional and personal development are available. We provide group supervision in care.
Nursing Assistant - Psychiatry Clinic Ludvika
Job Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant in psychiatry, you will:
• Provide support and care to patients with mental health issues.
• Participate in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of care interventions.
• Work with both acute situations and long-term support.
• Document in the medical records system and collaborate with other professionals.
• Contribute to a safe and therapeutic care environment.
• Lead or participate in group therapies.
Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of flexible hours if the operations allow. Region Dalarna offers a wellness allowance of 2000 SEK per year. At the clinic, we actively work with wellness and work environment initiatives. There is access to a gym, and next to the hospital, there is a lit exercise track. Requirements:
• Trained nursing assistant
• Valid driver's license (B)
Meritorious:
• Experience working in psychiatric and addiction care; training in relapse prevention and gambling addiction is also advantageous.
You should possess good collaboration skills, be able to make decisions, and handle changes. Being structured yet flexible is essential. Enjoy challenges and be comfortable taking responsibility while wanting to work in a team. Personal suitability will be given significant weight.
