About this role
We are now expanding our operations with additional pool services and are looking for someone who wants a varied and educational job within psychiatry.
As a caregiver in the pool, you will have a home department but will work across several departments within adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. The patients you encounter have varying diagnoses, conditions, and needs, providing opportunities to learn and develop in your role. Your tasks will include basic care, observations, and documentation.
You will have a rotating 6-week schedule with 2 weeks of night shifts and 4 weeks of day/evening shifts, as well as working every other weekend.

About you
You are a trained caregiver or nursing assistant, or have an education that the employer deems equivalent. Previous work experience in psychiatry, treatment homes, or similar settings is an advantage.
The role requires good collaboration skills, the ability to communicate clearly, and the capacity to provide patients with a low-arousal approach.
You thrive in a varied work environment, are flexible in your working style, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.

Our operations within adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry have just moved into newly built facilities on the hospital grounds in Västervik. Here, we are about 200 employees working in round-the-clock care, outpatient care, and forensic psychiatry. We are part of the psychiatric administration in Region Kalmar County. The administration employs a total of 600 staff members providing specialist psychiatric care for adults, children, and adolescents, as well as forensic psychiatric care and rehabilitation services.
