One of our colleagues is leaving, and we are looking for caregivers for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient unit 5. Department 5 is a child and adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit with 6 beds, serving the entire Örebro County. We admit children and adolescents with severe psychiatric conditions for acute hospitalization. Here, patients are cared for together with their guardians, and the primary goal of the inpatient stay is to stabilize their acute distress so that they can return home and continue their care in outpatient services.
At Department 5, we work in a close-knit multidisciplinary team that includes caregivers, nurses, social workers, doctors, teachers, and a unit manager. We actively engage in development work to safely and professionally fulfill our mission.
Child and adolescent psychiatry is part of specialized psychiatric care. The organization includes outpatient clinics, enhanced outpatient care, and an inpatient unit with acute services. A contact center for children and young people with mental health issues is also part of the organization, tasked with providing advice, making assessments, and triaging/sorting to the appropriate level of care. We work with treatment both individually and in groups, as well as with planned and emergency visits and telephone counseling. We also offer psychoeducational treatment interventions for patients and their relatives. Together, we are around 150 employees working towards common processes and goals. We operate in multidisciplinary teams with a holistic view of the individual and tailor our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the child's mental health and development, as well as the involvement of relatives in the care.

Qualifications
We welcome applicants who are trained caregivers/nursing assistants, preferably with a focus on psychiatry according to previous program structures, or are trained nursing assistants within the current program structure. You may also have completed caregiver training as a YH education. To assess employability, transcripts from your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional titles must be included in your application.
Experience working with psychiatry and with children and families is an advantage. As a newcomer, you will be offered a mentor to support you in your work. You need to have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing, maintain high quality in your documentation, enjoy taking responsibility, have good collaboration skills, and demonstrate sound judgment.
