Skåne Stadsmission is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a more humane society for everyone. We provide emergency assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing, hygiene, healthcare, and housing, as well as professional support for long-term change. Our goal is to offer all individuals new life opportunities, empower them, and promote their participation in society. We achieve this by supporting individuals' belief in their own abilities while advocating for a sustainable and compassionate Skåne. Would you like to join us?
Currently, Skåne Stadsmission employs over 125 permanent staff members, along with approximately 275 private volunteers and 126 corporate volunteers, and has an annual turnover of around 120 million SEK. We are one of ten members of the National Association of Sweden's City Missions, sharing a common value base and brand platform.
The operations of Skåne Stadsmission are financed through IOP (Idea-Based Public Partnership), agreements, grants, project funds, sales of goods and services, as well as donations from companies and individuals.
Skåne Stadsmission operates Stadsmissionshälsan, which offers healthcare and dental care in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (1982:763) and the Dental Care Act (1985:125). Stadsmissionshälsan was established in 2001 through a collaboration with Region Skåne and currently runs three healthcare clinics, located in Malmö, Kristianstad, and Helsingborg. The work at the clinics varies based on the specific conditions of each location. All healthcare services are free of charge, and the clinics operate on a drop-in basis.
Stadsmissionshälsan serves as a complement and link to public healthcare for patients who cannot access it. We provide healthcare through continuous relationship-building clinical assessments. Where our resources are insufficient, we collaborate with other healthcare providers or assist patients in accessing the appropriate level of care. At the clinics, you will work independently as a nurse, which requires a high level of integrity and self-awareness. You will have access to a physician at the clinic once a week, as well as regular visits from a physiotherapist, a medical foot care specialist, and a dentist. You will also maintain regular contact with nursing colleagues in Malmö and Kristianstad.
Our operations are multifaceted as we work with a variety of target groups. This requires the ability and interest to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life situations.
As our current nurse transitions to other roles within Stadsmissionshälsan, we are now seeking a flexible, driven, and independent nurse for the clinic in Helsingborg!
A significant part of the work in Helsingborg currently involves outreach activities, as Skåne Stadsmission does not conduct any social services here. Outreach means working within the environments where the target group is located. Starting from the new year, Skåne Stadsmission will take over the operations of what is currently run as a homeless shelter, which may lead to new conditions for the clinic's work.
