We are seeking nurses for the healthcare alarm center in Värmland. As a nurse at the alarm center, you will receive calls related to healthcare and individuals in crisis from emergency number 112. Your role involves ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care at the right level, with the correct resources, at the right time. This is a challenging job where you support callers with everything from childbirth to end-of-life situations. Sometimes it’s urgent, requiring an immediate ambulance, while in other cases, directing patients to another level of care or healthcare provider may be the most beneficial option. It is your responsibility as a nurse to make these assessments over the phone based on your previous healthcare experiences.
The positions are summer temporary roles based in Karlstad.
You must be a licensed nurse with at least one year of professional experience. You are a person who works with a clear patient focus and has a good understanding of Värmland Region's healthcare services.
It is important that you are skilled at collaborating among different healthcare providers to assist the patient in the best way possible. You will help create good conditions for staff working in prehospital care, and it is essential that you want to work together as a team and contribute to ongoing improvements and the development of the unit and its practices. The most important factor is that we are a good fit for each other. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and value humility, clarity, and precision.
Experience from working in ambulance services or prehospital care is particularly advantageous. Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English are also considered a merit.
