About the Role

Do you want to make a difference? The healthcare emergency center in Karlstad is looking for nurses for a meaningful and eventful role where you help people in urgent situations and contribute to the healthcare chain operating smoothly from the first call.

Your Workplace

The healthcare emergency center in Värmland is a newly established unit located in Karlstad. Annually, approximately 55,000 ambulance missions are conducted in Värmland for the region's nearly 300,000 residents. We always work with a patient focus and create good conditions for employees within healthcare. Our goal is to ensure that every patient feels safe and knows the next step in their healthcare journey. The unit operates in newly renovated facilities equipped with modern technology.

Your Responsibilities

We are seeking nurses for the healthcare emergency center in Värmland. As a nurse at the emergency center, you will receive calls related to healthcare and individuals in crisis from the emergency number 112. The role entails ensuring that patients receive the right care at the appropriate level with the correct resources in a timely manner. It is a challenging position where you support callers in situations ranging from childbirth to end-of-life care. Sometimes urgent assistance from an ambulance is required, while in other cases a referral to another level of care or provider may be the best course of action for the patient. It will be your responsibility as a nurse to make these assessments over the phone based on your previous experiences in healthcare.

These positions are permanent contracts based in Karlstad.
