The Orthopedic sector (VO) strives to develop new attractive roles to meet the needs of our employees. We are now offering you the unique opportunity to work at two different hospitals, combining elective and acute orthopedics where you will contribute to strengthening the sense of community within the VO Orthopedics. The sector is part of Helsingborg Hospital and operates in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm. The focus in Helsingborg is on acute missions while Ängelholm serves as an elective production unit. Outpatient services and wards are available at both locations. In Helsingborg, we also have a rehabilitation unit that supplies the entire hospital with occupational and physiotherapists. Our ward in Helsingborg deals with acute orthopedics and has admissions around the clock. We primarily handle emergency operations, as well as pre and post-operative care. We care for both younger and older patients with various orthopedic diagnoses and care needs. The pace is high, tasks are varied, and no two days are alike. At our Ängelholm ward, we focus on elective orthopedics, including hip and knee prosthesis surgeries as well as uncomplicated lumbar spine surgery. We also engage, to some extent, in urological and gynecological elective pathways. Here, we work in a planned and structured manner according to the scheduled flow with short care times. Our departments are characterized by a good atmosphere, and enthusiasm flows for new ideas and continuous improvements. We place a high value on patient safety, and our employees are highly involved. You will work based on the unique needs of the patient and take responsibility while closely collaborating with your colleagues and immediate supervisor in an environment where participation is key. What do we offer you? - A broad skill set that extends beyond Orthopedics, as we care for patients across various specialties in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm. - Professional development through our own clinical deepening education in orthopedics (KFU), with the opportunity to take a 15-credit Orthopedics course at Malmö University. - Individual introduction that includes both departments in Helsingborg and Ängelholm. - The opportunity to work on care development from a patient safety perspective. - Compulsory training days scheduled once every 10 weeks. - A 10-week roster, with two weekends out of every five. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale is a requirement. Previous experience in orthopedic practice is an advantage for the position. As a person, you are positive, engaged, and have a strong desire and drive to develop in your profession. You are comfortable working both independently and in a team, and you gladly share your knowledge and experience with others.
