We are seeking an additional Psychiatric Nurse/Nurse for our new initiative - A Path In. Region Dalarna is actively pursuing a renewed mission within mental health, set to launch in 2025 - A Path In, a reception unit where children and adolescents can seek advice and guidance concerning mental health issues. We aim to create a robust and sustainable team, and are therefore looking for an additional licensed nurse who wants to be part of the start of this exciting endeavor. Together, we will help build our new operation and thus contribute to more equitable and accessible care for the children and youth of Dalarna. A Path In will serve as the entry point for children and young people aged 0 to 18 seeking advice and support regarding mental health challenges. Our goal is to create a service that can best meet the needs of different age groups and inquiries, using diverse competencies and experiences. When interventions from Health and Medical Services are needed, we will assess whether support should be offered through the first line (Conversation Reception for Children and Youth/Youth Clinic) or within specialized care for children and youth (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry). If support should be provided through specialized care, information on all relevant BUP units will be given according to the Act on Freedom of Choice Systems (LOV). Nurse for our new initiative - A Path In, Borlänge Job Responsibilities The role of the nurse at A Path In includes: • Receiving, welcoming, and assessing incoming phone calls and referrals for children and adolescents with mild, moderate, and severe mental health issues. • Providing advice, support, and assessing the need for care, triaging to the appropriate care level. A significant portion of patient interaction will be conducted via phone and digitally. • Conducting structured assessments when necessary, using the BCFPI (Brief Child and Family Phone Interview) interview form. The results of the BCFPI, combined with your overall clinical assessment, will inform the appropriate level of care for the child/adolescent. • Collaborating with and gathering information from social services and school health services. The team at A Path In will consist of psychologists, social workers, nurses, medical secretaries, and team leaders, all experienced in working with children, adolescents, and their families. It should be enjoyable to go to work, and a positive work environment characterized by joy and safety is an essential part of that. A Path In for children's and adolescents' mental health is a workplace where you can thrive; the goal is for all employees to feel seen and appreciated. Working hours are primarily during the day, with the potential for flexible hours if the operation permits. Region Dalarna offers a wellness allowance of 2,000 SEK per year. Additional Information Qualifications We are looking for someone who: • Is a licensed nurse. • Has substantial experience in the profession, as well as good knowledge and experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. • Has a solid and broad competency to quickly make qualified assessments and provide advice and support to parents, young people, and professionals based on their specific situations and needs. • Is eager to develop their profession and actively participate in developing a new service. • Has good pedagogical skills and enjoys working in a team. • Is responsible, service-oriented, reliable, and has a knack for collaborating with others. • Enjoys working in a dynamic and change-oriented environment alongside various professionals and partners. Desirable Qualifications: • Specialized nursing education in psychiatry. • Basic psychotherapy training. • Experience from frontline mental health work, youth clinics, child and adolescent psychiatry, child medicine, or school health services. • Previous experience in telephone counseling and digital care meetings.
