About this role
The Pain Clinic in Gävle is part of the pain center, a regional specialist clinic within the Department of Anesthesia. We assess and treat patients with complex pain conditions, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. As a nurse with us, you will be part of a team of 10 professionals working collaboratively, including doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, chiropractors, and medical secretaries. Working hours are scheduled during the daytime, Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Patients with long-term neuropathic pain come to our pain clinic. As a nurse, you will be involved in assessing and treating through advanced pain management, including spinal cord stimulation (SCS). The work is varied and combines patient interaction with medical technology in an exciting way. You will be part of a flexible operation that focuses heavily on development and improvement work.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Conducting reception visits for assessment and advanced pain management treatment
• Providing telephone advice
• Monitoring medication
• Programming, follow-up, annual checks, and evaluation of spinal cord stimulation (SCS)
• Preparing and participating in SCS surgeries

To succeed in this role, you need to be:
• A licensed nurse
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a medical technology operation or have experience in quality work and business development, such as improvement initiatives, follow-ups, and documentation.
