**Area of Operation: Neurology**
We are Akademiska sjukhuset – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer services to two million people in Central Sweden. There is always something happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is hailed as a hero. With us, you will experience both challenging trials and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. See glimpses of our reality in our photo exhibition: akademiskafotoutstallning.se. Welcome with your application!
Would you like to develop in the field of neurological care? Become a part of our strong team in the Neuro Department 85D!
**Our Operation**
In Neuro Department 85D, you will meet patients with a wide variety of neurological diagnoses – from acute illnesses to planned treatments. Here, we provide highly specialized care for conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, motor neuron diseases (MND), and DBS (deep brain stimulation).
With us, you will experience a workday that is both educational, varied, and meaningful. Patient groups requiring less invasive neurosurgery are also cared for in the department as part of their treatment. Additionally, we have two rooms for EEG monitoring available 24/7 for patients being evaluated for or who have epilepsy. A significant portion of our planned care consists of regional patients from all over Sweden.
We emphasize professional development and offer weekly lectures and training opportunities, while actively working to create a good and sustainable work environment where we support each other and enjoy our work.
**Your Mission**
As a nurse with us, you will be an important part of an engaged and close-knit team.

- You are curious, solutions-oriented, and have a positive attitude.
- You thrive in a team but can also work independently when needed.
- You have the ability to prioritize and remain calm even when the pace is high.
