About this role

Do you want to help shape the future of forensic psychiatry in Norrbotten? We welcome your application! The Regional Forensic Psychiatry service has a regional responsibility for involuntary care according to the LRV, the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care. We treat patients who have been sentenced to forensic psychiatric care, as well as, in some cases, patients requiring special care under LPT and those who are part of the correctional system. We have a total of 44 inpatient beds distributed across 5 treatment wards and an intake unit. In addition to inpatient care, around fifty patients are treated under the framework of open involuntary care, administered by two outpatient teams. To ensure adequate nursing staffing at the forensic psychiatric clinic in Öjebyn, a targeted initiative is underway for this group. Currently, a salary supplement of 4,000 SEK/month is offered based on full-time service. This supplement is linked to employment at the clinic. We are looking for You are a licensed nurse, and it is an advantage if you have several years of experience in the profession and in psychiatry. It is also considered a merit if you have specialized training in psychiatry. We place great emphasis on personal qualities; as a person, you are independent, self-motivated, and stable in your work. You are clear and decisive and have strong collaboration skills. What you will work with At the clinic, we work in teams. The nurse, together with other staff, is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of psychiatric care. Specifically, psychiatric care involves assessing patients' nursing needs and determining what nursing interventions should be made in each individual case. Common to all psychiatric care is the support of the patient towards as independent and autonomous a life as possible. In forensic psychiatric care, protection for the public and victims must also be considered. Practical nursing tasks may include support conversations, social training, education, and support for patients and their relatives.
