**Job Responsibilities**
As a nurse with us, you will become proficient in many nursing technical aspects, as they are commonly practiced. You will work extensively with postoperative pain, fluid balance, and nutritional issues. We also have close collaboration with dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, stoma therapists, and stoma ambassadors to ensure the best possible care. To promote safe discharges for our patients, we have strong support from our discharge coordinators.
**About the Workplace**
Our department has 23 beds (18 on weekends) specializing in colorectal surgery. Common diagnoses include acute abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, ileus, and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. We receive both acute and planned surgical patients. Acute patients need to be assessed, treated, or operated on immediately, while planned patients are already assessed and admitted for surgery.
We work according to standardized care plans (ERAS) to reduce complications and promote quick recovery.
We have a wonderful mix of both new and experienced nurses and nursing assistants who care for one another and our shared work environment.
We work in teams, and everyone's role is important to us. We celebrate successes and develop the department to meet future challenges. Our supportive leadership is based on recognizing each individual at their level and helping them grow according to their own capabilities. Our department has two advanced specialist nurses and a mentor, creating a sense of security for newcomers.

**Qualifications**
We are seeking a licensed nurse or someone who is in the final stages of their education at the time of application. Since you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, we require good proficiency in the Swedish language. Relevant experience as a nurse is a plus, particularly in emergency care.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and seek someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-awareness. Given that work conditions can change rapidly, you must be flexible and capable of maintaining calm and focus in new situations. You should have the ability to structure your work effectively, prioritize tasks, and have a keen sense of where your contributions are needed to ensure smooth operations. As we work in teams, we look for someone who thrives in collaboration with various professionals and can motivate and lead other care staff. Your communication with others should be clear, allowing you to stand firm based on your competence while being open to others' perspectives. In interactions with patients and relatives, you should exercise empathetic communication.
**Employment Conditions**
We can offer permanent positions or temporary contracts, full-time. Day, evening, night, weekend shifts. Start date by agreement.
