Residents of Jämtland County in need of specialized psychiatric care receive treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatry department at Östersund Hospital. Employees in the units have a significant responsibility in developing and improving care in collaboration with the area's management. There are approximately 270 employees in this field.
We are now seeking nurses for our inpatient care units:
• Unit 1b, focused on acute psychiatry.
• Unit 4a, providing psychiatric inpatient care with a focus on psychoses and eating disorders.
• Unit 4b, offering psychiatric inpatient care for affective and geriatric conditions.
Person-centered care and psychiatric nursing are our focus areas, and we invest significantly in the concept of Meaningful Inpatient Care and the Safewards Meaningful Inpatient Care program (uppdragpsykiskhalsa.se).

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a nurse in inpatient care, you work closely with patients and guide your colleagues in assisting the patient with daily life, personal care, and social contacts. You will collaborate with other professional categories such as nursing assistants, doctors, social workers, and psychologists. You will have a broad and exciting area of responsibility and work closely with the area's outpatient services. We always strive for an employee-driven improvement process to achieve our goals of providing good and safe care along with a professional approach.
Your orientation in the workplace will be tailored to your previous experience; typically, nurses have a four-week orientation with support and help from a mentor. We also have a program for newly graduated nurses, where participation is offered in a region-wide program known as the clinical foundation year. For those with more extensive experience, we look forward to utilizing your specialized knowledge!

QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed nurse
It is advantageous if you have experience and/or further education in psychiatry.
You are accustomed to working both independently and in teams and possess good collaboration skills.
Great consideration is given to personal suitability.
