We are based at Lidaholmsgatan in central Borås.
Nurse for Borås City’s municipal primary care for evening shifts
Responsibilities
We work with advanced home healthcare, which means you will perform independent assessments, planning, and follow-ups of care needs. Palliative care and pain relief are important aspects of our mission, and we continuously provide guidance to care staff. Documentation is done in the Viva journal system. Currently, we have a working method where one nurse in the group acts as a coordinator and responds to our on-call phone to provide advice and support to the care staff staffing our elderly homes, home care areas, and short-term units. Other nurses are dispatched to our patients. During the shift, we have both planned interventions and actions assessed as necessary to perform urgently, and we are often the ones who contact the hospital when needed. When you start your employment, you will receive an individually tailored introduction that provides you with good conditions and a secure and stable start to your new role. We also offer access to a mentor after completing your introduction because we know that the opportunity to turn to an experienced and knowledgeable nurse for advice and support is often valued.

Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare, with several years of experience in the role, preferably across various care forms. Experience in municipal healthcare is an advantage. If you have further education in geriatrics, district nursing, dementia care, psychiatry, or palliative care, a specialist position may be relevant. You have a good demeanor, enjoy working with people, and have the desire to make a difference for our patients. Being responsible and engaged in your work is a given for you, as is being professional in your assessments and decisions. We value your ability to feel secure in your professional role and your aptitude for working independently, making assessments, and making decisions even in pressured situations. You see opportunities rather than difficulties and are quick to adapt your work approach based on changing conditions and new information. You have a collegial approach and view it as natural for everyone in the team to support and help each other, share knowledge and experiences, collaborate, and contribute to a respectful working climate. You also have the ability to build good relationships and collaborate with other stakeholders you meet in your role. In this role, you need to have a good overview of the current tasks and interventions; therefore, the ability to independently organize and follow up on your work is important. Since the role of the nurse involves guiding others, you must be able to explain, educate, and inform in a pedagogical manner. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good experience with IT-based journal systems. A B driver's license is required. Before an employment offer is made, a criminal record extract from the police must be presented.
