Your Responsibilities
At Kalix Municipality's special housing facilities, you will serve as a nurse and ambassador for the elderly, leading and planning care work from a holistic perspective. Work tasks vary and include providing end-of-life care, nursing and medical assessments and follow-ups. You will largely plan and structure your own work. As a nurse, you are primarily responsible for elderly care and medical interventions, but you are also part of a team that includes the elderly person, relatives, care staff, and other licensed personnel.
In caring for individuals with dementia, we collaborate closely with our dementia nurse, using BPSD as one of our tools. Since symptoms in elderly persons can be subtle, you need to be attentive to small changes. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, with each team member's knowledge being valued.
You will schedule your work using Time Care, which provides excellent opportunities to influence your own work hours.
The Health and Medical Care Unit is responsible for nursing and medical interventions, rehabilitation, and assistive devices for individuals in municipal special housing, ordinary housing, short-term stays, and daily activities.
A mentor will be available to provide support and guidance in your work.
We Are Seeking
We are looking for a licensed nurse with excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of Finnish is also an advantage and may be useful in the work.
