About this role
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen one another. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for ensuring that research and innovation produce results.
At the Neuro-Head-Neck Centre (NHHC), approximately 650 individuals currently work on various aspects of the investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and injuries affecting the nervous system, brain, ears, nose, throat, and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Our operations are based on patients in need of highly specialized care for northern Sweden.
We are now seeking a new colleague to join the Neurology Department.
In the neurology department, we handle both planned and emergency operations with the patient always at the center. We have a high patient flow, which means patients typically have short hospital stays. Patients receive high-quality care in a progressive organization. The neurology department is an acute investigation and treatment unit, consisting of two care teams with 12 beds each. Here, patients are treated for various neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's, Epilepsy, and Motor Neuron Diseases.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your medical competence and work with advanced treatments in an organization that continuously strives for improvement.
Welcome to a dedicated team where quality, development, and collaboration are our priorities!
We apply a scheduling model (model 3) that focuses on high participation in scheduling based on the needs of the operation (days, evenings, nights, weekends included), offering approximately 20% higher financial compensation for inconvenient working hours compared to central collective agreements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that ensures patients feel secure.
Your responsibilities will vary as patient groups change. An important part of the work is to identify risks, assess, address, and evaluate the various nursing needs of patients. You should be able to work independently, have good teamwork skills, and be flexible in both thought and action. You thrive in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Together with other team members (doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers), you will help create a good working environment where everyone feels comfortable.
This position is a temporary contract until September 30, 2026, but with good opportunities for extension.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in neurology who wants to develop in your professional role.
To be the candidate we seek, we see that you are engaged and possess good collaboration skills, where you listen well and communicate effectively. You enjoy working in a team where lack of pretentiousness is key to being able to help, learn, and support one another. You are a present and secure person who appreciates varied tasks and fluctuating intensity.
