About this role
Region Västerbotten is working to strengthen the mutually supportive relationship between good health and sustainable development. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and ensure that research and innovation yield results.
The Neurosurgical Department and Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NIVA) are part of the Neuro, Head and Neck Center (NHHC) at Norrlands University Hospital. Here, patients with diseases and injuries of the nervous system, brain, and ear, nose, and throat area are cared for. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing highly specialized care to patients from throughout the northern region.
We are now seeking nurses to join our team at the Neurosurgery/NIVA.
As a new employee with us, you will become part of a competent and committed team with strong cohesion and a positive atmosphere. You will receive a structured introduction that includes both onboarding and internal training to feel confident in your role. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship program. Additionally, we offer the chance to work according to our work schedule model with operationally tailored preferred shifts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that helps patients feel secure.
Working as a nurse in Neurosurgery/NIVA involves qualified and independent work where no two days are alike. Your responsibilities include identifying risks, assessing, monitoring, addressing, and evaluating patients' various care needs.
You will work closely with patients both independently and in teams with colleagues and other professionals. As a nurse, you will be involved in the care of patients from both surgical and medical specialties who have compromised vital parameters due to major surgeries, accidents, or more severe medical conditions. Guiding students and colleagues is part of the job as we are a university hospital with educational responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a licensed nurse. Experience working as a nurse is a merit.
We are an acute department with a high patient flow, resulting in a varied pace of work. We prefer candidates who appreciate teamwork and dynamic days.
The Neurosurgery/NIVA provides care at two levels, on the inpatient ward and in the NIVA. As a newcomer, you will start your first months on the inpatient ward before transitioning to post-operative patients and those cared for in NIVA.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their work role, can work independently, and make decisions. You should be communicative and work well in a team, willingly sharing your knowledge. You contribute positively to the work environment.
Welcome with your application!
