Neonatal Nurse

About You We are seeking a licensed nurse, preferably with further education in pediatrics or another relevant specialist training. Experience working as a nurse in neonatal care is meritorious. As a person, you are service-oriented, have good collaborative skills, and see great value in teamwork. You have a positive and empathetic approach towards children, family, and colleagues. For us, it is important that you show great commitment and care for children and their families, and the ability to adapt your communication based on the family's needs and situation. You always work with the patient's best interests in focus and enjoy taking personal responsibility. Furthermore, you have no problem making independent decisions or handling acute situations if they arise. You are detail-oriented and have good organizational skills. Your Future Workplace The Children and Youth Clinic provides specialized care to children and youth aged 0-18 with medical conditions. We offer patient care throughout the day, every day of the year. We have outpatient services, dedicated inpatient beds for neonatal, child, and youth care, and our own emergency department. Over 140 employees work at the clinic. Ward 25 receives all children and youth between 0-18 years who need inpatient care. We primarily treat medical conditions but also surgical, orthopedic, ENT, and child and adolescent psychiatric patients. The neonatal ward receives children born prematurely from week 30 of pregnancy or who require extra supervision in the newborn period. We collaborate with delivery and maternity wards and work with zero separation, where the goal is to keep mother and child together during care. Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. It is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity, and delivery services. Over 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
