We make each other better. Surgery & Urology, Inpatient Care Ward A4 is an acute surgical care unit. Here, you will meet and care for patients in need of both urgent and planned postoperative care, focusing on upper and lower gastrointestinal, thoracic and vascular, urology, ENT, and oncological surgical patients. We have 18 beds for patients who come to us in an emergency and six elective beds on weekdays. Here, you will experience variety in both pace and tasks and have the opportunity to become well-rounded and specialized in acute surgical healthcare. Your Responsibilities Do you want to work clinically as a nurse in Ward A4 but also have a leadership role in patient care? Here, you will have a central role as we collaboratively lead the development of the department forward. You will be responsible for ensuring an evidence-based approach and actively driving improvement initiatives. You will initiate and maintain good collaboration within the team, where different professions work together, as well as with our important partners in other departments at the hospital. You will contribute to the goal of continuously improving quality and ensuring patient safety. You will also serve as a mentor to your colleagues and act as a role model both within and outside the ward. Who Are You? You are a licensed nurse authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have at least five years of clinical experience working in an acute surgical care unit. Experience in a surgical or urological care unit, as well as experience with development and improvement work, is considered an advantage. A specialized nursing education in surgical care, education in nursing pedagogy/mentorship, and training in improvement work and project management are also beneficial. We are looking for someone who is self-driven and enjoys promoting development and improvement initiatives. You have strong collaborative skills and thrive in interdisciplinary teams where you contribute to a learning and open work environment. Your holistic perspective enables you to see the entire care chain and work towards continuity, quality, and safety for the patient.
