About this role
Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Together with patients, we work for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within an integrated healthcare system in the Västra Götaland Region. Our vision and goals aim for the highest quality of care, always keeping the patient in focus. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchanges nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify daily hospital operations and offer modern, accessible, and highly efficient care.
We are now seeking someone who wants to work night shifts at MAVA, where high competence and variation characterize the operations.
About Us
Departments 90 and 91 are part of the acute flow at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, where most patients arrive directly from the emergency room. We receive patients with acute conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, dyspnea, infection, and poisoning. As a medical acute care unit (MAVA), we also receive patients from the hospital's intensive care units and play a crucial role in Sahlgrenska University Hospital's disaster preparedness.
At departments 90 and 91, we want to create value for the patient by providing each individual with the most effective care possible. The patient should always feel welcome, and nothing is impossible.
We believe in flexibility, helpfulness, and lack of prestige. We thrive on challenges and a high-paced environment. We maintain a high level of medical monitoring and work with continuous learning and development.
Your New Workplace?
As a nurse with us, it is important that you are prepared to take a leading role. The work is highly varied and involves significant medical technology since our patients often require a high degree of monitoring. Our department is large and welcoming; we are accustomed to receiving new employees and students. We value an open climate in our work group.
For those who want to work fewer hours, we can offer a 78% night shift (10 nights/4 weeks) with a salary approximately equivalent to a 100% day/evening position. Contact us, and we'll agree on a position that suits you and your circumstances. Sahlgrenska University Hospital has time quotation during certain night hours, meaning a 32-hour night shift provides full-time salary, plus doubled on-call compensation between 22:00 – 06:00.
Who Are We Seeking?
We are seeking a licensed nurse. Experience in emergency care or having worked as a nurse for at least one year is meritorious.
To fit the role, you should have personal maturity and stability. You enjoy when things happen and are driven by challenges. You also need the ability to be flexible in finding the best solution for each patient.
You enjoy collaborating and working in teams. We work in a non-prestigious manner where we help, teach, and elevate each other. We believe that everyone's unique knowledge and characteristics are valuable.
We are proud of our department and want nurses who will contribute to delivering top-class care. If you want to be part of developing future care at MAVA, you are welcome to join us. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
Warm welcome with your application!
