We are now seeking a licensed nurse for intermittent employment (hourly position) at the Forensic Psychiatric Investigation Unit in Gothenburg. In the autumn of 2025, the operations will move to the newly constructed Salix building, designed and built to meet the unit's needs, located in Skogome. Your Assignment The Forensic Psychiatry Department investigates, on behalf of the court, whether a person suspected of a crime committed it under the influence of a serious mental disorder. We also conduct risk assessments when life-sentenced individuals apply for time-limited sentences. The Forensic Psychiatry Department consists of two forensic psychiatric investigation units located in Stockholm and Gothenburg, and a coordination unit located at the headquarters in Stockholm. The suspected offenders stay at the unit during the investigation period. As a nurse, you are responsible, under the group manager, for work in the residential unit and provide leadership to care personnel. You work to ensure care, safety, and logistics. Qualifications For this position, you must: - Be a licensed nurse - Have experience in psychiatric acute or full-time care Meritorious - Experience working in forensic psychiatry, psychiatric care, correctional services, or similar areas - Experience in leadership within a closed care environment Personal Qualities and Abilities You have an interest in leadership and are professional in stressful situations, with the ability to create cooperation, dialogue, and trust among staff and patients. Clarity, attentiveness, and organizational skills are highly valued. It is also important that you can express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish. Employment This is an intermittent employment, meaning you do not work full-time but as needed, which allows you to combine it with studies or other work. We apply irregular working hours, which means needs may arise during daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends. Work shifts will be planned by agreement based on when needs arise, and you will have the opportunity to serve. Location is Gothenburg, Skogome.
