Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be a safer and more secure place for everyone. We are the agency responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and client transportation.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open healthcare services, meaning that all correctional facilities and remand prisons have healthcare units where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, there are general practitioners and psychiatrists available at these units. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor health issues, as well as evaluating which patients need to see a doctor. This means you will work with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for the inmates, assist during medical consultations, and mainly manage medication administration through dosage dispensing. The facility has a doctor on-site once a week, and the role includes collaboration with the doctor. Documentation is conducted in the PMO patient data journal.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has self-awareness. You find it easy to collaborate with others and possess well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to make sound judgments and prioritize effectively. You are quality-conscious and meticulous, with the ability to structure your approach independently and drive your processes forward.
To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the fundamental values of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, which emphasize a humane view of humanity, respect for individuals, and the belief in human development potential. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation impact yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that all individuals are treated equitably. Personal suitability is of great importance to us.
We seek candidates who have:
• A valid nursing license
• The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• A category B driver's license
**Desirable qualifications:**
