About this role

Make a Difference. Every Day. Are you a nurse who wants to work in a newly established medical department? Do you want to provide the best possible care to patients together with your colleagues? Do you enjoy taking responsibility and making independent decisions while valuing teamwork? Are you also curious about what healthcare has to offer future patients? Then you are warmly welcome to join us at Medical Ward 9 in Lund. We are a newly started inpatient ward with 14 beds and a broad medical profile. Here, we care for patients with diagnoses in areas such as medicine, neurology, and surgery. We care for patients who need treatments like High-flow nasal cannula therapy (HFNC), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and various drains, such as pleural drains. Here, you will encounter a stimulating and educational work environment where you will have the opportunity to develop alongside committed colleagues in close cross-professional collaboration. We work in interprofessional teams with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation staff, where communication and good cooperation are a common foundation, and we keep the patient in focus. Additionally, we collaborate with several different areas of expertise such as medicine, surgery, cardiology, and orthopedics, which contributes to broad competence in the unit. Together, we lay the groundwork for how healthcare should be designed, and you are offered good opportunities to influence how you want your workplace to be. We who work here are curious and forward-thinking and have developed strong cohesion with good communication. Are you curious to meet the medical department of the future and learn more about working with us? Then you are warmly welcome to contact us! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We welcome two nurses to Medical Ward 9. Here, you will work closely with patients in an environment where every day offers new challenges and learning opportunities. You will have varied work where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for patient care, treatment, and nursing. Additionally, you will be given excellent opportunities to develop in your professional role. As a new employee, you will receive an individualized introduction of at least four weeks, and if you are new to your nursing role, you will also be offered participation in the clinical base year. The ward also provides support in the form of specialist nurses and unit managers. The position includes mentoring students and new employees. To give you the conditions to feel comfortable in your work, we see the importance of offering you training in mentorship. We value staff education and development and continuously work on this. We offer, among other things, both internal and online training. The advertisement refers to two temporary positions until 2026-06-30. The positions include day, evening, and night shifts.
