About this role
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Are you a licensed nurse with at least a couple of years of experience? Would you like to help develop the Health and Medical Care function in Sweden's ninth largest municipality? We are now seeking driven nurses for a development assignment; read on to learn more!
Your new assignment
We are facing an exciting development as part of our investment in Close Care within municipal health and medical care.
Until 2028, we have been granted state funding to strengthen the operation with six nurses. The aim is to meet future competency challenges, improve the work environment, and ensure that the right citizens have access to our health and medical care.
The position combines clinical work as a nurse with a clear development assignment within the Health and Medical Care function. In this role, you will be a key person focusing on:
- Ensuring accurate registration in municipal health and medical care in close collaboration with other care providers
- Developing and implementing new working methods, such as digital solutions, to address challenges in competency supply
- Improving our quality monitoring in the operation with a focus on collaboration between different professions and functions
- Guiding and supporting new colleagues regarding the municipality's assignments and working methods
- Contributing to a better work environment by working clinically as a reinforcement, during evenings and weekends, across a larger geographical area
- Clinical work as a nurse with responsibility for planned and acute care interventions in the patient's home, regardless of living situation. You will encounter a varied target group with different care needs and work with medical assessments, sample collection, wound care, palliative care, and medication management. You will be responsible for documentation in the operational system and collaborate closely with other professional groups while also working independently.
Your qualifications
- You are a licensed nurse with at least a couple of years of experience, preferably from working in municipal health and medical care
- Experience in development work or change management is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required, as well as good computer skills
- You have good physical mobility as the work takes place in home environments, and you need to adapt your working methods based on existing conditions
- A valid driver's license (B) is required as a car is used for work purposes
As a person, you are proactive and solution-focused, with a genuine interest in working in change and developing healthcare. It is important that you have drive and the ability to think strategically while also translating ideas into practice. You work independently and take responsibility but also thrive in a team where you contribute to good collaboration and build strong relationships.
To ensure the patient's safety, security, and well-being, you use your good judgment, knowledge, and attention to detail – and you communicate clearly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
